UCAA looking for new Chair and Secretary
What we are looking for & what we have to offer
We are looking for enthusiastic alumni who wish to be/remain involved with the UC alumni community, and will preferably be around (Utrecht/ the Netherlands) for at least 1 year. You are practical and hands-on, but also have ideas that are beneficial on the long term. You should be a team player, but at the same time able to work independently on tasks and projects.
The board meets every three weeks; every two months a meeting with UC's alumni officer (Marilyn Verkleij) is held. Depending on your tasks and projects, you will also have contact with other staff members in College Hall, UCSA and external parties.
Time investment for general board work is approximately 3 hours a week (unpaid). Additionally, each board member will be responsible for 1 or more projects (varying time investment, depending on your possibilities and availability of projects), usually related to their function (e.g. alumni magazine, career conference, UCUniverse). UCU pays a nice salary for these project-related tasks.
Task description Treasurer
The UCAA is looking for an enthusiastic alumnus or alumna to become our new treasurer
The treasurer should:
- be accurate & good with numbers
- be good at estimating amounts/budgeting
- have good negotiating skills
- be able to get sponsors
- be able to speak & write Dutch (required for formal correspondence with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce and other external parties)
- be able to function within the board & willing to co-organize events every now and then
Availability: Starting as soon as possible. Preferably planning to be around for at least a year.
Time investment: At least 3 hours a week (partly paid), UCAA meeting once a month, attending UCAA/UCU/UU events every now and then.
